Hello! I am a Montreal-based translator.
My name is Octavian. And I translate it from/into five languages: French, English, Romanian, Albanian and Macedonian. I translate it is not a company name or a slogan. It’s a statement and a promise.
I studied linguistics, translation and communications at four different universities, on two continents:
Since 1996, I have been translating from/into French, English, Romanian, Albanian and Macedonian. I started my career mainly with literary works – Gaston Bachelard, Franck Pavloff, Mitrush Kuteli, Fatos Arapi, Lidija Dimkovska or Goce Smilevski.
And I extended my areas of expertise towards Public Relations, Business and Management, Commerce and Marketing, Finance, Legal (I’m a court interpreter as well), Logistics, Transportation, Environment and Ecology, Education, Games, Sports and Recreation, Travel, Tourism and Geography and even Medicine.
I currently live and work in Montreal, Canada (yes, it’s cold).
